The Maritime Authority of Jamaica (MAJ) was initially closed to walk-in customers on Tuesday August 25 and Wednesday August 26.

This is due to the closure of the Office Centre Building where the MAJ has its offices, by the Urban Development Corporation, to facilitate deep cleaning and sanitization of the entire building.

The MAJ has been advised that the building will remain closed on Thursday August 27, and until further notice.

We will advise you as to when the building will re-open for regular business.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Once again, we take this opportunity to encourage all our employees and clients to vigilantly practice the protocols outlined by the Ministry of Health and Wellness, which include the wearing of masks, social distancing and regular sanitization of hands, as we do our part to stop the spread of COVID-19 in Jamaica.
