The purpose of this Circular is to advise all stakeholders of changes to the Maritime Authority of Jamaica's (MAJ) policy regarding the acceptance of Maritime Crew Resource Management (MCRM) training in support of certification under the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, 1978, as amended (STCW Convention).

The purpose of this notice is to provide guidance to Jamaica Flag Yachts on the safety equipment carriage requirements for Tenders and other Appurtenances.

All vessels registered as Tenders or other Appurtenances are required to fit the appropriate safety equipment as required by vessel type and class.
